The Fernwood Foundation

In 2005 by Diana Williams, founder and Executive Chair of Fernwood Women’s Health Clubs wanted to make a difference to the women in the community and so developed the Fernwood Foundation which is a charitable not-for-profit organisation that aims to foster greater self-reliance in women who are experiencing difficult life circumstances. Three per cent of all of Fernwood's profits fund the Foundation’s activities.

The vision of the Fernwood Foundation is to empower women with life challenging circumstances to shine. The Venus Program is the first major initiative that has been undertaken.

 


 

Brisbane International Women's Day Fun Run/Walk

Fernwood sponsors the Brisbane International Women's Day Fun Run and Walk whose beneficiary is the Mater Foundation Breast Care Unit.

In 2009 over 6,500 women participated in the 5km Brisbane Road Runners International Women's Day Fun Run/Walk 2009.
